Unlock Saffron Cultivation with Authentic Kashmiri Saffron Seeds
Our Kashmiri Saffron Seeds (which are commercially referred to as corms or bulbs) represent the start of your journey in growing the world's most valuable spice. Cultivated in the fertile valleys of Pampore, Kashmir, these high-viability corms are handpicked to give gardening enthusiasts and commercial farmers access to the highest-yielding crop. Each seed corm is rich in nutrients, ensuring rapid root establishment, high sprout density, and multiple flower shoots.
The Benefits of Growing Kashmiri Saffron Seeds
- High Germination Rate: Sourced directly from mature Pampore crops, our corms boast an outstanding germination rate in a variety of soils.
- Exceptional Yield: Produce long, thick, deep crimson stigmas with high crocin content, giving you the best culinary-grade saffron right at home.
- Easy-to-Grow Perennial: Plant them once, and they will grow and multiply underground year after year, giving you an expanding crop over 4-5 seasons.
- Versatile Growing Mediums: Grow them in home gardens, indoor pots, terrace planter boxes, or high-density hydroponic setups.
Quick Planting & Care Guide
For a bountiful harvest, keep these growing parameters in mind:
- Climate: Saffron grows best in regions with cold winters and warm, dry summers. Plant corms in late summer (August to September).
- Soil: Use sandy loam soil that drains well. The corms will rot if left in standing water. Maintain soil pH between 6.0 and 8.0.
- Depth & Spacing: Plant corms 10-15 cm deep, spacing them 10 cm apart. This protects them from extreme summer heat and frost.
- Watering: Water thoroughly once upon planting. Afterward, only water sparingly when the soil is completely dry.
- Bloom & Harvest: Watch for the beautiful purple saffron flowers in late October. Pluck them early in the morning and carefully pull out the three bright red stigmas.
